Essential Valencia and its World Heritage Sites (Tour in Spanish)
The city of Valencia has more than 21 centuries of history, dozens of monuments from all eras and 4 World Heritage Sites: the Lonja de la Seda, the Tribunal de las Aguas, the Fallas and the Mediterranean Diet. Few urban destinations in the world have the privilege of having contributed several of its cultural assets to the prestigious UNESCO list.
This cultural tour is a journey through the must-see places of Valencia, through its most emblematic points, accompanied by a professional guide who will gradually reveal the stories of the city.
The North Station, the City Hall, the Central Market, the Lonja de la Seda, the Plaza de la Reina, the Plaza de la Virgen… Our steps will take us through the streets and squares of the Historic Center and we will discover how this urban fabric has evolved over the centuries: from its Roman origins, through the Muslim era and the Christian influence and up to the present day.
We will enter the Lonja de la Seda, a masterpiece of civil Gothic architecture, which was declared a World Heritage Site in 1996. The fabulous Sala de Contratación, with its columns, vaults and ribs, transports us to the prosperity of the Valencian Golden Age.
The Tribunal de las Aguas, an Intangible Heritage of Humanity since 2008, takes place every Thursday at 12 noon at the Puerta de los Apóstoles of the Cathedral, while the Fallas were Valencia’s latest addition to this UNESCO listing in 2016. These festivities are held between March 15 and 19 and turn the city into an open-air museum of ephemeral monuments, accompanied by music, traditional costumes and the smell of gunpowder.
The Mediterranean diet was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010. In addition to being a healthy lifestyle, it is a cultural heritage that includes recipes, cooking methods, traditions and typical local products such as olive oil, rice and nuts.
“ Essential Valencia and its World Heritage Sites” is an exclusive tour through the enormous cultural and heritage wealth of the city, which has led to the triple recognition of UNESCO. Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy this tour through the past and present of Valencia with which to keep one of the best memories of your visit.

From Monday to Friday we also offer you the possibility to finish the route in the best possible way: with a Valencian wine tasting in a unique enclave to enjoy a wine and cultural trip.
