Hanging bridges route (Chulilla, Valencia)

Starting from the town of Chulilla we will head upstream through the upper part of the Turia river canyon. The route will be done first by asphalt and then by path.

We will turn following one of the most marked gorges and, at a certain point, we will descend about 100 stairs, mostly carved in the stone, to the first suspension bridge, located about 15 meters above the river, in one of the narrowest areas of the canyon.

After crossing this bridge, we will continue down stairs until we reach the same height of the river, where in summer it is possible to swim (shallow). Shortly after, we will cross again by a second suspension bridge, this one of low height, to continue along the left bank again, in an easy walk surrounded by spectacular walls and typical Mediterranean vegetation, until we reach a point where the canyon opens.

Continuing a stretch of asphalt ascent, we will arrive at the dam of the Loriguilla reservoir (2 hours). Once at the reservoir, you can choose to continue to return to Chulilla passing by the cave paintings of Falfiguera or return through the same place, to be back in the village between one and two hours later.

It is possible to leave cars at the reservoir to make the trip only one way, an ideal option for small children, elderly people or people with functional difficulties. Consult with our guides.
