Sesga vestiges
Sesga offers us unique vestiges of the way of life of the past. These fundamental activities for survival were developed in harmony with the environment.
Sesga’s multi-purpose building is a must-see for visitors to the village. The school, located on the upper floor, has remained intact since it closed its doors in 1964. Next to it we find the surgeon-barber’s barber’s shop, which also served as the Town Hall and dungeon. On the first floor we find the communal oven, last used in August 2003. Another point of great interest in the village is the hydraulic set, consisting of a fountain, trough, washhouse and fulling trough.
The group of pre-industrial buildings of Sesga, together with the Jase Maroto Cube in Ademuz, were awarded in 2011 with the first Europa Nostra prize, in recognition of the protection of cultural heritage.
