This ferrata is suitable for children from about 8 years old. The clamps are not far apart and the equipment is reliable, so the challenge will be mainly psychological for those who are “baptized” in this type of activity.
The activity begins on the shore of the Tous reservoir, which we will border for about 25 minutes to reach the beautiful source of Chorrico, which gives its name to the ferrata.
In 5 minutes more we arrive at the foot of the ferrata, which climbs a wall of about 60 meters basically vertical, offering us the possibility of descending through a ravine (dry), enjoying several easy but very nice rappels. All this with spectacular views of the Tous reservoir and the Caroche massif.
If we go down the equipped path, we will find some sections with staples to help us progress, but it will be much easier than the ascent. If we go down the ravine, we will find 4 easy rappels, the longest of which is 30 meters, with excellent views.
In both cases we return to the Chorrico fountain and from here the return is done by a comfortable path in about 25 minutes.
