Solidarity concerts in Valencia
The Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda, an emblematic building with more than five centuries of history, becomes the stage for a solidarity musical initiative that seeks to help those affected by the DANA. Organized by the Brotherhood of St. Jerome, ESMAR and the Banda Primitiva de Llíria, “Los Conciertos del Huerto” offer a cycle of classical music that combines tradition and social commitment.
Each month, outstanding musicians and ensembles will delight the public with a repertoire ranging from baroque works to more contemporary compositions. The series begins on November 17 with the performance of the Duo Diapente, which will perform an exquisite program of baroque music. In December, it will be the turn of the ESMAR Sax Ensemble, and throughout 2025 there will be chamber music recitals, with a special focus on instruments such as the violin, flute and clarinet.
A charitable purpose
In addition to enjoying excellent musical performances, those attending these concerts will be contributing to a noble cause. The full amount of the tickets, priced at 10 euros, will go to help the families and communities affected by last October’s floods. In this way, music becomes a bridge between the past and the present, uniting the city around a common goal: reconstruction and solidarity.
“The Orchard Concerts not only offer a space for the dissemination of classical music, but also provide an opportunity for young musicians to perform in a privileged environment. This series has become an essential event for music lovers and for all those who wish to collaborate in the recovery of the damage caused by the hurricane.
