Clock Building
Muelle del Grao, s/n, 46024 Valencia
The unique Clock Building, with a classic and stately design, was inaugurated in 1916 as the maritime station of Valencia, the great entrance to the city by sea. It is French inspired (a copy of the Lyon station in Paris) but united with the Valencian modernist current.
You can see the sculptural details with figures alluding to commerce and fishing, such as the paddle-shaped boat that crowns the tower.
The main façade also houses the dynastic shield of the House of Bourbon. Currently, the maritime station houses the headquarters of the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Valencia .
