Atarazanas
Plaza Juan Antonio Benlliure, s/n
Located next to the port of Valencia, this building was used for the construction and repair of ships, storage of maritime equipment and weapons carried by the ships. Sometimes, depending on the time of the year, it was used to store very important goods that reached the city by sea, such as wheat and other merchandise.
Located in the Grao, they offer the visitor an image of a Valencia whose maritime trade was undoubtedly one of the most significant in the Mediterranean during the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries, a period of maximum splendor for commercial development and for the history of the shipyards.
