Basilica of San Vicente Ferrer

In the center of Valencia is the Basilica of San Vicente Ferrer, which is part of the Royal Preachers Convent.

 

It is a neo-Gothic building that began to be built on March 7, 1906, and that went through different phases until 1921 was completely completed.

 

It was elevated to the category of Basilica on July 13, 1951 by Pope Pius XII. Title granted to certain churches that, due to their antiquity, historical and spiritual significance, etc., are considered worthy of it, being one of the few together with the Basilica of the Virgin of the Helpless who possess this category.
