Valencia gradually recovers its mobility after the floods
The heavy rains caused by the DANA have left a deep mark on Valencia’s infrastructure, and public transportation has been no exception. However, the city is gradually beginning to recover its mobility.
One week after the devastating effects of the floods, the Conselleria de Medio Ambiente, Infraestructuras y Territorio has implemented several measures to restore the public transport service. Both Metrovalencia and Metrobus have adapted their routes and schedules to meet the needs of citizens.
Metrovalencia
To compensate for the interruptions in the metro service, shuttle buses have been provided to connect various stations, such as lines 1, 3 and 9. In addition, a continuous service has been established between Paiporta and Valencia for lines 1, 2 and 7, facilitating travel between these municipalities.
Metrobus
The Autoritat de Transport Metropolità de València (ATMV) has reported on the adjustments made to Metrobus lines. While some lines have suspended service due to infrastructure damage, most have resumed operations with route modifications. Most of the lines in the north, northwest and Montserrat-Valencia corridors operate normally, although with some modifications.
