This unique exhibition, which is now available until September 12, will feature an impressive collection of Playmobil figures recreating historical military scenes from ancient Rome to the present day. Visitors will be able to delight in some 3,000 Playmobil figures displayed in 6 different dioramas, meticulously arranged to tell the story of human history and highlight the important role the military has played in it. The exhibit is designed to be both educational and entertaining, aimed especially at children, but also at entire families and adults interested in military history and bric-a-brac. As visitors walk through the different sections, they will be able to admire the detail and precision with which the battles and figures have been recreated, making for a unique experience. Each of the dioramas that make up the exhibition has been carefully crafted by 24 collectors, experts in military history and Playmobil enthusiasts. With the slogan “The bricks disembark in the museum” the event will take place in the temporary exhibition halls inside the Military Historical Museum of Valencia, without changing the museum’s schedule. The event is organized by the Spanish Association of Playmobil Collectors, AESCLICK. And it is becoming a benchmark in the Playmobil world, as it is impressive the contrast between the size of their dioramas and the level of detail they present. The exhibition will include a collectors’ meeting on the weekend of May 24-26. It will provide a good opportunity for lovers and fans of these figures to find exclusive pieces, complete collections they have been looking for and share curiosities of the Playmobil world. The Museum is located in the San Juan Rivera Barracks, in the Alameda. It has 3,500m2 of surface available for the exhibition with funds that are exposed in 22 rooms. It presents the Military History of the Spanish Army and Valencia in dioramas of more than 22 m².
The location is in Calle General Gil Dolz, 6. Valencia. An area with very good connections, offering access by metro, Alameda stop, and EMT lines 31, 32, 71, 81 and 95. The schedule of the event is from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 14 h and from 16 to 20 h. And on Sunday from 10 to 14 h, as usual the museum.
