Tastarròs, rice for 5 euros at the great rice festival

Tastarròs 2024: The great rice festival in Valencia

The Tastarròs 2024, the great rice festival of Valencia, returns this year with more flavor and activities than ever. This coming Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June, the Town Hall Square of Valencia will become the epicenter of rice culture, offering a unique experience that combines gastronomy, music and local traditions.

Organized by the Consejo Regulador Denominación de Origen Arroz de Valencia in collaboration with the Conselleria d’Agricultura, Ramaderia i Pesca de la Generalitat Valenciana and the Ajuntament de Valencia, Tastarròs has established itself as the largest rice gastronomic event in the city. Since its first edition in 2016, it has grown in popularity, attracting thousands of visitors and catering professionals looking to showcase their culinary art.

An event for all audiences

Tastarròs 2024 is a perfect appointment to know all the applications of the different rices of the D.O. Arròs de Valencia. Attendees will be able to taste rice dishes, mainly paella, at popular prices of around 4 or 5 euros per dish. The gastronomic offer will be in charge of chefs of renowned restaurants of the capital and Valencian regions.

In addition to the tasting, the event will feature numerous activities. Among them, live showcookings, workshops, contests and the traditional huge urban dryer, where thousands of kilos of rice will be dried live using traditional methods. This will allow the public to learn first-hand about this ancient task.
