The Campanar festivities are not over!

Attention everyone! Unfortunately, the traditional mascletà and fireworks scheduled for the end of the festivities of the Campanar neighborhood, last Monday 19, has been postponed due to the occupation of a circus on the area planned for the event. The owner of the circus has justified that despite being denied the implementation of its commercial activity by the new animal protection law to the place of the mascletà, he continues to have permission to occupy the site until March 3 The authorities have even tried on 3 occasions to leave the area, including proposals for sanctions on each visit. Until finally they have decided to postpone the event until the situation is safely resolved to protect the integrity of all attendees and avoid possible incidents during the celebration. This is disappointing news for all residents and visitors to the Campanar neighborhood. We hope that this inconvenience will be resolved soon and we can enjoy the mascletà next Saturday. Although there are always two sides of the coin, and in this case it gives a second chance to attend to all those who could not or did not know about the acts.

We already have a new date and location:

The date for the fireworks displays has already been confirmed by the City Council of Valencia. Both the mascletà and the fireworks display in honor of the patron saint festivities of Campanar will take place this coming Saturday 25 in a new space in the neighborhood, located specifically in the streets Aparicio Albiñana with Monestir de Poblet. Until the last moment, they were working to try to keep at least the fireworks display for the last night of the 19th. However, they still need the approval of the Government Delegation, which requires a report from the Civil Guard to be done in the coming days. What a desire to smell gunpowder!
