La Carrera de la Mujer: The Pink Tide is Back
The Women’s Race is a sporting event that has gained great relevance in recent years. With each edition, this event not only seeks to promote the practice of sports among women, but also becomes a platform to claim gender equality and promote the rights and autonomy of women in all spheres of life Thousands of women will take to the streets of the city this coming Sunday, April 14, in what will be a great sporting event of solidarity and vindication of the role of women in sport and in society.
During the two days prior to the celebration of the race, the Fair will be the epicenter of the event, where thousands of runners will come, in addition to pick up their bib and t-shirt, to participate and enjoy the various activities and workshops that have been prepared for this edition. Workshops, talks, masterclass, yoga or zumba sessions, among other activities, will be offered, which will be free or 100% solidarity and to which you must register to reserve a place through the following link. Also at the same link you can register for the activities of the Runner’s Fair, as places are limited. In addition, runners will also be able to get their 016 race bib and their Oysho Pink Tide T-shirt during the two days of the Runner’s Fair, which will take place on Friday 12 from 16:00 to 20:00 hours and Saturday 13 from 10:00 to 20:00 hours at Feria Valencia (Pavilion 8).
This edition of the Women’s Race also seeks to be a platform to promote the personal and professional development of women athletes. This year, due to its 20th anniversary, we will experience very special moments such as a tribute to two female athletes who will have their own street in Valencia: the Olympic medalist in Judo, Almudena Muñoz; and the Paralympic medalist in Swimming, Pilar Javaloyas. As a novelty in this edition, the Women’s Race of Valencia is allied with Moms in Action, AAEV Valencia, and the Spanish Association of Metastatic Breast Cancer. In summary, the Women’s Race 2024 is a multidimensional event that aims to promote gender equality in all aspects of life. Through the practice of sports, empowerment activities, visibility of political participation and promotion of education, it seeks to generate a real change in society towards the construction of a future in which all women can achieve their goals and dreams.
