Alqueria del Pou
CUISINE: Mediterranean, Valencian On April 19, 2012 the Alqueria del Pou opened its doors after rehabilitating this place for the enjoyment of the typical cuisine of the southern orchard of the city of Valencia, near the natural areas of the beaches of the Dehesa del Saler and Albufera.
The building corresponds to the traditional construction of the orchard, the alquería, where the families who worked the surrounding land lived.
The kitchen of the Alqueria del Pou offers the typical dishes of the southern orchard of the city of Valencia.
In the starters are very present both vegetables and fresh seafood, such as titaina, with tomato, bell pepper, pine nuts and tuna belly; along with the tellinas (clams), clòtxines (in season), and fried beach fish.
The rice section deserves special attention, with the different preparations of the traditional recipes of this region, whether they are cooked in paella or in clay pots, to make them dry, broth, mellow or baked.
