CLOCK BUILDING

Muelle del Grao, s/n, 46024 Valencia

The unique Clock Building, of classic and stately design, was inaugurated in 1916 as the maritime station of Valencia, the great entrance to the city by sea. It is of French inspiration (copy of the Lyon station in Paris) but attached to the Valencian modernist current. You can appreciate the sculptural details with figures alluding to trade and fishing activities, such as the vane-shaped boat that tops the tower.

The main façade also houses the dynastic shield of the House of Bourbon. Currently, the maritime station hosts the headquarters of the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Valencia.
